Passkey Login Is Here: Passwordless Authentication for KyberAccess

Passwords are a liability. They get reused, phished, forgotten, and stuffed into breached credential databases. Two-factor authentication helps, but it adds friction — nobody enjoys waiting for a six-digit code via email or SMS every time they log in.

Today, we’re rolling out passkey login for all KyberAccess users. Sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or your password manager — instantly, securely, and without ever typing a password or verification code again.

What Are Passkeys?

Passkeys are the industry standard for passwordless authentication, built on the WebAuthn protocol and backed by Apple, Google, and Microsoft. Instead of a password, your device creates a unique cryptographic key pair tied to your account. The private key never leaves your device. The public key lives on our server.

When you sign in, your device proves it holds the private key using biometrics (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint) or a device PIN. No shared secret ever crosses the network. No code to intercept. No password to phish.

Passkeys are inherently two-factor — they combine something you have (your device) with something you are (your biometric). That’s why passkey login on KyberAccess automatically bypasses email and SMS 2FA. You’re already authenticated at a higher level than a password + code ever could provide.

How to Set Up Your Passkey

It takes about 10 seconds:

1. Log in to KyberAccess as usual (email/password + 2FA)
2. Look for the prompt — a small card appears in the bottom-right corner asking “Sign in faster with a passkey?”
3. Click “Set up passkey” — your device will prompt for biometric confirmation
4. Done — next time, just click “Sign in with Passkey” on the login page

You can also set up passkeys from your Profile page, where you’ll see a dedicated Passkeys section to add, view, and manage all your registered credentials.

Works With Password Managers

If you use Dashlane, 1Password, or any other password manager that supports passkeys, KyberAccess works seamlessly. Your passkey syncs across devices through your password manager, so you can sign in from any computer — not just the device where you originally registered.

Passwords can be stolen. SMS codes can be intercepted. Email codes can be phished. Passkeys can’t be any of those things — the private key is bound to your device’s secure enclave and never transmitted.

Multiple Passkeys, Multiple Devices

You’re not limited to one passkey. Register your MacBook with Touch ID for the office, your iPhone with Face ID for mobile, and your Windows workstation with Windows Hello. Each device gets its own credential. Manage them all from your Profile page — remove old devices, add new ones, see when each was last used.

Passkey login is available now for all KyberAccess users at no extra cost. We’re not removing password login — passkeys are an additional option that we strongly recommend for everyone.
